Project Overview

Developing a wellness and exercise app that focuses on fitness activities and exercises, food, and suggested brands; this app will dive deep into the different phases of the women's cycle from each stage of the menstruation cycle, pregnancy, and pre and post-menopausal phases. For each phase of the cycle exercises suggestions and food will adapt. Exercises can also be adjusted on difficulty levels and lifestyle.

Problem Statement

How might we better understand physical and conditional requirements of women (especially pregnant and older women) throughout life so that we can give them a resource to help them live healthier lifestyles in a more effective and personal way?

Timeline

Research & Methodolgy

We talked to the users about:

  • Their current routines

  • What motivates them

  • Nutrition as well as exercise

  • Things they look for in a useful resource

We talked to the experts about:

  • How people approach an expert about questions

  • Resources for self-education

  • Nutrition as well as exercise

  • Importance of tracking progress

  • Best exercises and nutrition for people of various conditions

We interviewed 9 people across our 3 user types as well as more interviews with professionals including doctors, personal trainers, and nutritionists.

It was important for us to reach out to all the people we can to gain as much knowledge from our users as well as learning the right information from the experts.

We started out by preparing and sending out surveys to get as many responses as we could from our potential users as well as experts.
